Maysville Area Chamber of Commerce met Tues., Jan. 8, 2019 at the Maysville United Methodist Church with Tracy Taylor serving as hostess. Tracy also served as secretary in the absence of Pat Fisher-Johnson.
Those in attendance were Larry Zieber, Stephanie Williams, Tracy Taylor, Martha Shireman, Tanya Zimmerman, Barb Owen, Chet Owen, Kerri Huffaker, Beulah McManus, Crystal Karr, John Saunders, Amy Ford, Missy Meek, Mike Edwards and Kathy Kagay.
Larry led the pledge of allegiance and Crystal opened with prayer.
The minutes were read by Larry.
Missy reported a balance of $10,383.78. She mentioned insurance being due in February.
Julia Huffaker and her work with Living Hope Christmas Angels will be recognized as Chamber Recognition for the month of January.
Missy gave the membership report and handed out a list of the current 2019 members. It was discussed and voted on that 2019 dues will be $100 and $25 for individuals and non-profit organizations. This is an amount change from dues in the past.
Under Old Business, the Chamber website was discussed and the replacement of the kitchen door at the Conley Building. Kathy talked to Mrs. Daniels about an essay contest to promote economic growth. Larry talked to Rex Whiteman about adding State Champs to the welcome signs.
Under New Business, Friday April 12, 2019 was set for the Chamber Banquet. Kathy Kagay will provide the meal and Circle of Friends will serve.
It was voted on to give $100 to Great Northwest Days and $500 to the Maysville Library for their roof.
Any Time Fitness is now owned by McGuire Family Trust and will be called Moving On Fitness.
