The season is upon us already and the Maysville Chamber wants you to know about upcoming holiday events.
December will start off with the annual Breakfast with Santa at the June Conley building. Bring the kids to see Santa on Sat., Dec. 1st from 8-10 a.m. Everyone is welcome to enjoy a full, hearty breakfast for a free will donation. Kids will receive a treat from Santa and can have their pictures taken. This event is put on by the Country Harvest Committee.
On the next Saturday, Dec. 8th, things will light up around town. The Candy Cane Lane committee will be hosting a Christmas Parade. The theme for the parade will be Christmas movies, which could really be fun!. If you are interested in being in the parade you need to sign up with Tanya Zimmerman. The parade will begin at 6:30 p.m on the SW corner of the square.
Immediately following the parade, PACA will start the count down to light up the square. They will flip the switch to the lighted decorations on the court house lawn and the Mayor’s Christmas tree. This marks the fourth year PACA members will spend many hours decorating the court house lawn and business windows to bring our town some Christmas Spirit on the Square. After the lighting, be sure to drive down Candy Cane Lane (Hillcrest Dr. across from the school entrance).
Area businesses wanting to become or maintain a Chamber membership should get that paid before the end of December to receive the reduced rate of $100.00.
There will be no chamber meeting in December. Christmas blessings to you all, and enjoy the holidays with your families!
