September always seems to have a lot going on. I always tell people “don’t ask me to do anything else in September – it will have to wait until October.” We even hold off anniversary trips until October sometimes. But with a lot going on also means a lot of fun happening here in Maysville!
The Country Harvest committee works extremely hard to bring a family fun event to our area, and one that people look forward to each year. The event takes place from the 13th through the Cowboy Church on Sunday morning the 16th. You can look on this website’s calendar of events for the details of each day.
A good old fashioned tent revival is happening at the fairgrounds on the east end of town from Sept. 9th – 12th. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy hearing the good news of the gospel and wonderful music.
The Fairport Fish Fry has returned! After 30+ years, the members of the Fairport Lions Club have decided it is time to put on the fish fry again. I am so excited about this! The Fairport Fish Fry was legendary. You could not find a better meal anywhere. The food was out of this world, and the fellowship of friends could not be beat. It’s a lot of work to fry fish for 1000 or so people; I hope the Lions Club men are able to keep this up each year.
Football, homecoming, and a 50 year MHS class reunion are all happening on the 28th. Go Wolverines! Here’s hoping you have a great season.
Get out and enjoy the activities, the fresh crisp air, and the beauty of the fall season.
