P.A.C.A. Is Chosen Business of the Month
The Maysville Area Chamber of Commerce has chosen P.A.C.A. as the July business of the month.
P.A.C.A. is the DeKalb County Positive Action Community Association. Their mission is to initiate community betterment, promote business growth, and instill pride in our towns and collaboration between area groups and organizations.
P.A.C.A. is preparing to move their headquarters to the former Rumors restaurant/lounge and historic Theatre Anne building located on the NE corner of the square in Maysville. The building is owned by P.A.C.A. President, Pete Larson, and much work has been put into its renovation. The space in the newly remodeled building will house P.A.C.A.’S services resource center, an arts and crafts emporium for talented artists and crafters, and offers the possibilities for leasing space for other business ventures. Stop by to see the improvements being made to restore this historic landmark!
To promote and encourage the support of our area businesses, P.A.C.A. recently published a business directory. Copies can be picked up in various businesses located in DeKalb County, or ask a P.A.C.A. member for one.
P.A.C.A. will be hosting a Blood Drive on Aug. 7, 3 PM to 6:30 PM at the United Methodist Church in Maysville.
They will be holding the 3rd annual Holiday Gift and Craft Fair on Nov. 3rd at the Maysville school lobby, 9 AM to 3 PM. Contact Beulah McManus at 816-419-5933 if you would like to reserve a space.
As usual, P.A.C.A. will be decorating the downtown square in Maysville at Christmas time.
Thank you, P.A.C.A., for all you are doing for our community!
